Dear Prospective Member of Corinthian Yacht Club:
Thank you for expressing an interest in the Corinthian Yacht Club (CYC). This package will help familiarize you with our Club facilities, activities, and fees. In addition, we hope to explain the membership process and advantages of membership in CYC.
Most of our members joined CYC to enjoy the 20 plus acres of serene waterfront property, the clubhouse, pool, boat ramp, covered slips, and as an added bonus –rooms and cottage rental for a nominal fee. However, the real attraction is our members, their camaraderie and genuine caring for each other. Many members take vacations together, cruise together year around.
Beginning in Spring, 2025, along with our traditional active membership that allows for full use of all club amenities and privileges, a new membership category has been added: community membership. This membership will allow individuals and families to enjoy many of the club’s amenities, including the use of the pool, without the cost of a full, active membership. An explanation of the two types of membership, and the privileges attached to each, can be found in the documents below.
Should you decide to apply for membership, please complete the enclosed Application Form, attach a check for the appropriate amount, and submit to the Secretary for processing (mail or email is acceptable) email address is cycsignals@gmail.com. The application, in addition to your information and references, requires signatures from two active club members before processing can begin. These members will become your sponsors at CYC. These sponsors will facilitate introductions to other Board of Trustees members and members around the Club and help acclimate you to the facility. The completed application is processed by the Club Secretary, which includes posting your application to inform current members, a reference check, and a Board vote. We also invite you to attend one of our events, free of charge, in order to get to know our members and sample some Corinthian hospitality first-hand.
Once you are notified of your acceptance, you will be asked to attend the next regular monthly membership meeting, where you will be introduced to the Club members and presented with your Club burgee, directory, name tags, dock box label and lapel pin.
